Direct Contact with the Natural World
We believe our very survival as humans depends upon re-establishing a healing relationship with our natural environment. Building a direct personal relationship with nature gives insight into the wisdom, beauty and value of the complex ecosystems of which we are a part. This creates a sense of belonging and nurtures a desire to participate in systems that safeguard and protect our natural resources.
The Intersection intends to offer a variety of programming that helps individuals connect with the environment through direct connection with nature-rich ecosystems.
Nature programs include:
Organic Gardening & Regenerative Agriculture
Foraging & Wildcrafting
Herbal Medicine
Hiking & Outdoor Adventures/Activities
Ethical Animal Husbandry
Nature-based STEM programming (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math)
“Nature is the fundamental world from which we all come.
It is our root and place of origin and when we recognize our origin, we can understand our place and our connection to all things.”
-Sylvia Harris, Wildlife Biologist & Member of The Intersection
